Previews created from Raw image formats retain similar flexibility to the Original when recovering tonal details. Previews are often indistinguishable from the original and are fully editable.

  • Smart Previews – A Preview file is a medium-quality version of your photo (approximately 5% the size of the Original) that gives an accurate representation of your photo while taking up a fraction of the storage space necessary for the Original.
    • You can organize your library and add metadata while viewing Thumbnails, but editing options are limited. Thumbnails are ideal for devices with limited storage space.
